Saiyans in Star Trek

Crossover (obviously)

If the Saiyan race existed in the Star Trek universe, i'd modify some of their attributes from their original DB counterpart, with my personal touch.. examples:
- shorter (averaging 5' - 5' 5" for males) and a more stocky/chunky build in general
- darker skinned (ranging from that of Native Americans or East Indians to African people)
- more primitive (Neanderthal like) facial features, and all men sport mustaches and beards or goatees
- broad face with a hawked nose and high cheek bones
- defined canine teeth about half an inch long
- rather than transforming into giant apes - looking at a full moon causes them to have like a major adrenaline rush, and they increase in strength by 4 or 5 fold. greater speed and agility as well.. like their traditional counterpart,, some of their senses are enhanced - such as hearing. all else stays the same
- more inherently aggressive disposition - hybrids with humans take on much more of the character traits and tendencies of their Saiyan side, regardless of how they are raised - especially those of a high percentage of Saiyan heritage. given to hot violent temper outbursts.. such traits make it difficult for them adjusting to many aspects of human society and ideals
- many hybrids retain the will to fight, to advance over opponents, and their abilities/strength and the appetite for a challenge
- also in saiyan/human hybrids - metabolism clashes and some hormonal issues are common

Besides those, all characteristics, physical traits and most aspects of their culture, i'll leave consistent with the DB saiyans... they are as prideful of their heritage and culture,,, if not even more so on a population scale.

Lets say they become great allies to the Klingons and form a formidable asset to their military. i'm unsure what to think of next (writing fanfiction isn't one of my strong points), have anything to add?

For me - stuff like the Tsufuruans and Planet Plant, hold about as much weight as the manga in terms of "Dragonverse canon".

They are among the only races within the Klingon empire considered to be worthy of respect by the klingons. Klingon/Saiyan hybrids occasionally appear.

Their existance is only made known to the Federation after the Khitomer accords, when the federation and the klingon empire make peace, and stop the veils of secrecy.

Some saiyans dislike the whole "klingon honour code" and join forces with the Dominion. They are hated by the Jem-Hadar, who consider them to be nothing but lawless thugs, unworthy of the Founder's attention. The feeling is mutual, with the saiyans considering them as religious fanatics.

I agree with and like your idea.

It'd be cool if Paramount Pictures bought the rights from Akira Toriyama and Toei to do this.

Here are some more ideas;

Rather than transform into Oozaro or SSJ (this is Star Trek, the standards of power are much lower), the Saiyans could have various attack ships with names like "Oozaro class warship" or "SSJ class planet destroyer"...

The leader of the rogue saiyans which join the Dominion could be a certain Turles....

Klingon/Saiyan hybrids are incredibly powerful fighters, but they are born sterile (otherwise, they'd quickly overrun both the klingons and the saiyans)

The klingons discovered the primitive saiyans after they killed off their Tuffle rivals. This impressed the klingons (in Klingon mythology, the klingons first step to galactic conquest was when they apparently slew their gods), who taught the saiyans how to hone their fighting skills and develop technology.

They'd be like a link between Humans and Klingons. I wonder what their relations with the Federation would be like?

Which reminds me, I need to put them back into Armada 2 again.

Nothing wrong with a Trek-style Oozaru, Star Trek has a god after all so the Oozaru wouldn't stand out too much. I read a fanfiction where the space battles are done in ships, yet the Super Saiyan is still in. Nothing about the Oozaru though.

Assimilated Oozaru!!!
Oozaru is more interesting than Super Saiyan.
